Risks and Adventures

In today’s world, if someone wants to stand out, he needs something more than just skill and education. Due to commercialisation of education, every other person is in position to get educated and be skilful. It’s competitive out there and to be really unique in your field, a person should expand his boundaries; taking risks is the first and foremost step. I’m only eighteen and I still have a long road ahead. I’m sure I will be taking a lot of risks in my life because by the time, I get into the corporate world, I might not even require skill and education to get a good job.

Taking risks is a beautiful phenomenon. If you take a risk and fail, you will be wiser than yesterday and you have something much more important than education, it’s called experience. Without experience, you never get to move forward in life. When you fail in life, you get a big package of experience, education, skill and hopefully success. It’s not always bad to fail in something, as long as you learn something from that failure.

On the other hand, if you take a risk and you win, you will be happy and content. You will be much more confident about yourself. And obviously, you learn something from that win. The happiness you get makes others happy and inspired. Winning a risk is always a sign of being a leader. The biggest win from the risk is when you are able to inspire at least one other person to take a risk. You never know, it might even change someone’s life.

If you look back at life and see all the beautiful moments, you will realize that those moments happened only because you were willing to take a risk. Taking a risk fills you with anticipation. It scares you. It excites you. If you don’t feel any of this in your life, then maybe you’re not living it right. Every day when I wake up, the only thing I look forward to is the amount of adventure I’m going to have that day.

When you look back at life, the only thing you’ll regret is risks you never took because you were too scared. Risk is a catalyst through which life moves forward. Without risk, you life will be ordinary. It will proceed with a slower pace. For a dreamer like me, life is all about risks. Dreams are meaningless without risks. If you dared to dream, that means you are willing to take risks.

There are people who love peaceful life, without any adventures leading a simple, ordinary life. But that is what they want to show. If you actually talk to them or start knowing more about them, you’ll realize that they have taken the biggest risks in their lives and still take it, but they just don’t show it. Taking risks and living an adventurous life is a way of life.
