Introverts Are Awesome!

A few days back, I saw a video by the TED Talks in which the speaker, Susan Cain, talks about the power of introverts. If you haven’t yet seen the video, please follow the link The Power Of Introverts by Susan Cain.

Honestly speaking, I’m an introvert; and I have seen a lot of introverts, who are disregarded as unfit, just because they have different social skills. In this video, Susan Cain beautifully explains how introverts are important for every work field, but sadly, they are not considered to move forward in their lives because of their nature. If you’re an introvert and needs inspiration, don’t forget to see this video

“Introverts may have strong social skills and enjoy parties and business meeting but after a while wish they were home in their pajamas… many have a horror of small talk, but enjoy deep discussions.” – Susan Cain

I love introverts and some of the best people I’ve known are introverts. Sad part is, nobody wants to be friends with introverts. They are often regarded as anti-social and they prefer to keep a distance from them. But, according to me, they are the coolest people ever. They know how to handle every situation, and they think through every problem rationally. And therefore, I made some research about introverts and I’ve found out that at most 25% of the population are introverts, due to which there are misconceptions and myths about them everywhere.

Frankly, introverts are the best people you will find. They are a loyal friend, intelligent partner and always gives an honest opinion. Often, we are considered rude and impolite just because we don’t indulge in social conventions; which is bad. We have our own thinking process and our own interests and beliefs. If you try to make introvert do something they don’t like, then it is most likely that you’re going to lose.

Someday, I hope, the world will realize how important introverts are for progress and development and will accept them as they are.

Changing The World

“The ones who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.”

-Steve Jobs

Changing the world seems to be an abstract idea. I mean, sure, you want to change the world, but what are you doing to make it happen? So often, I see people with no hope from life, when I believe that every individual has the ability and potential to change the world, only if they know how and where to go with their lives. But, sadly, no one knows where to go and what to do with their lives.

Whenever, I make some plans for the future, no matter how near or far that future maybe, all I hear from people is, “There is still a lot of time, concentrate on the present, then think about the future.” But, I think it never works that way with life. The present is to be enjoyed, not taken seriously. Only when you have a vision for future will you be able to work hard at present. If you don’t have a future to look forward, you lose interest in life and stop working. And this is why I keep a vision for the future.

When we say, “change the world”, what do we exactly mean? When I think of the world, I don’t the a big picture, I just want to change small things, make people smile, inspire people to live rather than just exist and change the way I see the world. I believe that, you can change the world only if you are ready to change in the process. We have to compromise and sometimes, give up things we love the most to see a change in the world. Sometimes, we become the change.

Mahatma Gandhi said, “Be the change you wish to see in this world.”

If somebody tells you, that you’re crazy to think of the future and forgetting the present, don’t tell them you’re wrong, just show them the results. Because there are not many people who dare to dream, and more importantly, who dare to dream about changing the world and if you have the vision to change the world, then make a plan and work on it, every day.

So, the next time, you feel hopeless about changing the world, or receive no support from others, just remember, that you don’t need support, all you need is just a motivation and a plan, because these are the only thing that will change the world.
